I come away from Euro’s extremely humbled. Super grateful for the opportunity to have been there to witness such a prestigious event. You can learn a lot coming to such a high level event not just as an athlete but as a coach as well. The sport continues to evolve at such a rapid rate that attending these events is crucial to athlete and coaches development.
Being a coach can be super challenging. Finding a balance between technical advice, motivating and criticism is a fine line. You feel the agony of the defeat and the joy of winning not just once but for every athlete you have the privilege of cornering. Just like fighting you can have your good days and your bad days but I wouldn’t do it unless I believed I can make a difference in the outcome of my athletes matches. Fortunately for me I’ve been blessed with amazing athletes that make my job easy and it wasn’t any different this time around.

Thank you Submissions BJJ Academy, Natalia, Ninad Desai, Zoltan Ekk, Suriya Desai, and Alex Ayliffe for the opportunity to be in your corner. You all had spectacular performances and I hope I was able to make a difference even in a small way towards your efforts. Much love and respect and I hope I can have the opportunity to once again have a front seat and to be able to hopefully say the right thing at the right time that can help you reach your goals. Always grateful Oss!
